Todd Ruxer – County Council District 4
Hammond Township, Huff Township, Harrison Township, and Carter 4 Precinct
Todd Ruxer is currently serving in his second term on the County Council representing District 4 in Harrison, Huff and Hammond Townships. Todd is a lifelong Spencer County resident, is the son of Terry and Sandy Ruxer. Todd lives in rural St. Meinrad with his wife Angie, the daughter of Nick and Jean Dilger. Todd and Angie have three children, Aubrey, Abby, and Tyler. After graduating from Heritage Hills High School in 1991 and Indiana State University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical technology, Todd began his career working in his family’s business in St. Meinrad. As the third generation owner of Ruxer Furniture and Appliances, Inc., he knows the trials, tribulations, and benefits of running a successful business. Todd has also been serving North Spencer School Corporation as a school bus driver for the past 26 years.
Todd coaches youth sports and is active in many county and community organizations. For more than nine years, he has served on the board of directors of the Spencer County Community Foundation. Todd has been a volunteer fire fighter/first responder for 22 years with the St. Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department. Todd has also been an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5599, the St. Meinrad Community Center and Park Board. Todd and his family are members of the St. Meinrad Catholic Church.
Spencer County has so many opportunities for growth. From its geographic location to its rich history, the possibilities are endless. Todd wants to make Spencer County the best it can be. With his leadership abilities and sound judgment, he will be able to help guide Spencer County to an even better future. Using a conservative and common sense approach, Todd will strive to provide an effective and efficient local government that benefits all Spencer County citizens.
