Key Issues

Sara sees three key issues important to the office of the Circuit Court Clerk.

  • Later this year, the Clerk’s office will be transitioning to the state Odyssey computer court management system. Sara’s office has been working for months to insure a smooth transition.
  • Another key issue is the proper accounting of court fines and fees, child support payments, traffic ticket payments, maintaining court records in proper form, and issuing marriage licenses.
  • Finally, as administrator of elections the Clerk has tremendous responsibility. Sara has worked in a bi-partisan manner with the County Election Board and others to insure safe, fair and accurate elections.

Goals and Objectives if Elected

Sara has important goals and objectives if elected to serve as your Clerk once again. Moving from precinct poll locations to Vote Centers is paramount on her list. Sara says the advantages of vote centers are many, including lower costs and more flexibility for the voters to name just a few.

Sara’s office will continue working to scan old court records as the office moves to paperless storage with the Odyssey court management system freeing up valuable storage space.
