Blake Voges – County Council at Large
About Blake Voges
Blake lives near Mariah Hill with his wife, Alison Hunter Voges, and their son, Sway. Blake has worked in the landscape and construction industry all his life. He has owned and operated Voges Lawn Service Inc. for over ten years.
Education and Professional Associations
Blake is a 2003 graduate of Heritage Hills High school and has earned degrees from Purdue University in Building Construction Management and Organizational Leadership and Supervision.
Community Involvement
Blake is actively involved in our community. He has served on the Santa Claus volunteer fire department, coached Minutemen Football and he currently serves on the Spencer County Business Retention & Expansion Task Force.
Key Issues
As a candidate for County Council at Large, Blake believes the most pressing issue facing Spencer County is that fewer younger generations are choosing to live here as shown by the declining student enrollment in both North and South Spencer School Corporations.
Goals and Objectives if Elected
Blake’s primary goal as a member of the county council will be to ensure Spencer County is fiscally responsible while looking to the future. As a member of the council, Blake will support those who are working towards job creation and residential development.
