American Rescue Plan Fully Funds Indiana READI Grant Program
Local county leaders have championed Spencer County recently being awarded $15 million along with other Southern Indiana counties as part of Gov. Holcomb’s #READI program. According to State Rep. Bartels, “These quality-of-life investments will provide an additional boost for our region’s economic growth, including our many recreational and tourist attractions. READI grants will help us create new jobs and attract highly trained workers.”
U.S. Rep. Larry Buschon, Sen. Mike Braun, and Sen. Todd Young meanwhile call the plan to invest in things like broadband internet, roads and bridges, and clean water “socialism” while claiming to represent hard working Hoosiers. The #AmericanRescuePlan is fully-funding the Governor’s #READI program. So, brighter days are ahead because Democrats stepped up and delivered when it mattered most. We need to elect more leaders who roll up their sleeves and get things done rather than fighting endless, imaginary culture wars.
