We Remember September 11

We remember where we were on September 11, 2001…

We remember and honor the 2,977 Americans who perished in the attacks on September 11, 2001.

We honor and remember the 343 brave firefighters and paramedics who died trying to save others on September 11, 2001.

We honor and remember the 60 heroic police officers who were killed serving others on September 11, 2001.

We remember and honor the hundreds of other firefighters, paramedics, and police officers who have died from illnesses caused by their efforts to save lives on September 11, 2001.

We pray for the hundreds of firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and others who suffer from chronic illnesses as a result of their heroism on September 11, 2001.

We remember September 12, 2001 when Americans came together united as a proud and free people to mourn the deaths of innocent Americans and to stand, not divided against one another, but together against a common enemy who attacked us.

We remember and honor the sacrifices of the 2,443 American service members who lost their lives in Afghanistan defending America and the families they left behind since September 11, 2001.

We honor the sacrifice of the 20,000 American service members who were wounded on Afghanistan since September 11, 2001.

We honor the sacrifice of the 1,144 allied service members from NATO countries who stood proudly with us and gave their lives in Afghanistan and the families they left behind since September 11, 2001.

We thank the 51 NATO and partner countries around the world who came to our defense and stood with us against those who attacked us on September 11, 2001.

We mourn the deaths of the more than 47,000 civilians lost in Afghanistan since September 11, 2001.

We commit to living lives and building a future worthy of these sacrifices starting September 11, 2021.
