Spencer County Democrats: We’re IN this together!
With Easter weekend approaching, we’re all discovering new ways to live, work, learn, worship and connect during this time of social distancing and quarantine. Now more than ever is the time for those of us who are more fortunate to find ways to reach out and lend a helping hand to those who are not as fortunate.
Unfortunately, there are kids in Spencer County who depend on school food programs to get a nutritional meal each day. With schools being closed, those kids are at greater risk of going hungry. Thankfully, we are blessed with dedicated school professionals who are doing their best to keep food programs going and distributing nutritious food to kids in our community while the schools are closed.
As the Spencer County Democratic Party, we want to play a small part to assist with this effort together with you. Therefore, we have decided to collect donations to be divided equally between the school food programs in North and South Spencer school corporations. We are asking each of you, as you are able, to please send in a donation and we will 100% match all donations received by April 20th up to $750. No donation is too small, so whether you can afford $5, $25, $100 or more please consider taking a moment to donate.
We would like to collect and distribute the funds quickly, so we ask and encourage you to donate online with a credit or debit card using the donate button below. We will cover all processing fees so that 100% of your donation goes to our local school programs. If you must send a check, please make the check payable to Spencer County Democrats and mail before April 20th to: PO Box 22, Rockport, IN 47635 and be sure to write school food programs on the memo line.
